Jordan - Weather update: Strong winds and dust in desert areas

Arab Weather - Today, the Kingdom began to be affected by a cold air mass, which led to a noticeable drop in temperatures and the weather turned cold and cloudy, with rain falling in the north and center of the Kingdom, while the rain extended for the first time to the southern regions this season, in addition to the formation of fog in the mountainous heights.

Strong winds and dust in desert areas

According to the latest data from monitoring stations, forecasts indicate active southwesterly to westerly winds, which may reach speeds of more than 60 km/h, causing dust and sandstorms in the desert areas in the south and east of the Kingdom, including parts of the desert road linking Amman and the south.

Recommendations:

Secure lightweight items to prevent them from flying around.

Beware of poor horizontal visibility on desert roads due to dust waves.
