Jordan | Works declare medium emergency due to weather conditions

Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the start of work within the medium emergency plan, starting today, Wednesday, coinciding with the weather conditions affecting the Kingdom, according to information received from the Meteorological Department.

In a statement, a copy of which was received by "Roya", the ministry confirmed its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions and to process the observations received 24 hours a day through its 106 teams distributed in the various governorates of the Kingdom.

She added that, at the behest of the Minister of Public Works and Housing and the Minister of Transport, Maher Abu Al-Saman, a circular was issued to its directorates and offices in various parts of the Kingdom to fully prepare to face the expected weather conditions, conduct periodic inspection tours to all regions, and provide the Central Emergency Unit with periodic reports according to the rules, indicating that the directors of the directorates have been delegated And offices working in the field to submit an emergency plan according to the need and developments in the weather

By circulating it, the Ministry stressed the need for permanent and continuous coordination with the Ministry's partners, based on the directives of the Minister of Public Works and Housing, and the Minister of Transport, Eng.

She called on citizens to take caution and caution, and to stay away from torrents and valleys, especially in the eastern and central regions of the Kingdom, and to be careful while driving on foreign roads, especially in the desert areas, due to the possibility of low horizontal visibility as a result of dust formation.
