Kruger National Park.. Your life among the wilderness in South Africa

Arabiaweather.com - Ismail Qasimi - Kruger National Park is located in the north-east of the state of South Africa, and extends along the border with Mozambique in the east, Zimbabwe in the north, while its southern borders are formed by the Crocodile River.

The park covers about 20 thousand square kilometers, and is divided into 14 different environmental zones, each of which supports a special type of wildlife, and the park in general is one of the main attractions in South Africa and is considered the pioneer of national parks in the region.

Observation base at Crocodile River

It is near the crocodile camp and you have to travel north on the main road towards Lower Sabie, then follow the signs that direct you to the base via a dirt road for a few kilometres, there is always the possibility to get out of the car and go with the park guide towards the river to see the hippos and crocodiles from a few meters away.

Masorini village

It is an Iron Age village located about 10 km from Phalaborwa Gate, and is probably the most preserved stone and iron waste within the park. There is a picnic area and public toilets near the bottom of the hill.

You need to be accompanied by a private guide to take a tour of this village, which has seen its reconstruction in huts to show the civilization that was formed during the Iron and Bronze Ages, where people used iron for spears, hunting and the entire economy.

The primary way to see wildlife in the park is to take a tour of the park by car during daylight hours when the park is open, but there are many other experiences that allow viewing wild animals in other ways of viewing, such as night tours, or following some special trails such as the Bushman Trail, Mtsi Mtsi, Nabi, Nyalanda, Olifante, Sweeney, and others.
