Prince Edward Island is located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence in the eastern part of the country, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and known as "Atlantic Canada", within the Maritimes region, which also includes the provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

The island enjoys four seasons, in which the winter is long and cold with temperatures always below zero, and spring comes late and is somewhat cold, while the summer is pleasant and temperatures range between 20 and 34 degrees Celsius, and despite the cold sea water it is possible to swim in the ocean, In autumn, the days are usually warm (between 8 and 22 degrees) with cool evenings.

Prince Edward Island is called the Garden Province because most of its lands are agricultural, characterized by fields in which vegetables and flowers are grown, in addition to gardens spread over many of its lands and decorated with the most beautiful roses during the spring and summer seasons.

Historically, the island was home to the Mi'kmaq people and they were the first to inhabit the island and they called it Ibiquitec, then the Europeans changed the name to "Abiguit", and the French were the first to colonize it and called it Saint Jean Island, then the British expelled them at the beginning of the eighteenth century, and in 1799 It became Prince Edward Island, and then joined the Canadian Confederation in 1873.

The island is divided into three provinces, namely Prince, Queens, and Kings, characterized by its beautiful beaches that surround it on every side and exceed the number of more than 90 beaches, and in addition to that, tourists can visit a number of ponds and streams that spread within the island.
