Arab Weather - The latest readings from what is called computer simulation indicate the continued absence of the usual winter air depressions from various regions of the eastern Mediterranean basin, including Iraq, for the rest of the month, with the country remaining under the influence of minor rainy conditions in the form of cases of instability.
In the coming days, temperatures will be 2-4 degrees Celsius warmer than their average for this time of year, and the weather will be more spring-like than wintery, with relatively cold weather prevailing in the northern and western regions, while it tends to be slightly warm in the rest of the regions, including the capital Baghdad. Winds will be variable in direction to light northwesterly.
God willing, temperatures in the capital, Baghdad, are expected to be on the cusp of 20 degrees Celsius, in addition to the rest of the central and southern regions of Iraq, coinciding with the appearance of clouds at medium and high altitudes.
Despite the low pressure systems moving away from Iraq, a limited state of atmospheric instability will develop in the west and south of the country on Monday, accompanied by limited chances of rainfall.
We conclude from the weather maps that the scientific reasons for the absence of weather events are represented by the rush of a cold air mass towards the western Mediterranean, forming air depressions. If we take a further look, we find that storms are active in the North Atlantic and work to pull cold air masses and gather them in high latitudes. We also notice the extension of the Siberian high towards Turkey and Iran, and it works as a barrier system to prevent the advance of cold air masses that cause air depressions when they reach the surface of warmer waters.
And God knows best.
