Arab Weather - Arab Weather experts reported, based on the latest outputs of computer simulations, that the Kingdom will be affected in the coming days by a strong high pressure system in all layers of the atmosphere, so stable and sunny weather prevails and temperatures remain higher than their averages, but the general weather remains cold, especially at night.
During the night hours of Friday/Saturday, the weather will be generally cold, with scattered clouds. Frost is likely to form on the peaks of the Tafilah highlands during the dawn and early morning hours, and fog is likely to form in the eastern plains and some desert roads on Saturday morning. Winds will be light and variable in direction.
Temperatures are expected to remain 3-5 degrees Celsius higher than their average for this time of year in the coming days, reaching 14-15 degrees Celsius in the capital Amman. The weather will be relatively cold over the highlands and pleasant in the rest of the lowlands, and the winds will be light and variable in direction.
While maximum temperatures will be around the mid-twenties Celsius in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba during the coming days, the weather will be moderate and tend to be warm during the afternoon and evening hours.
The weather during the coming nights will be cold in all regions of the Kingdom and will become very cold during the late nights and dawn, especially over the high mountainous areas, the eastern plains and the southern desert, coinciding with an increase in surface humidity levels, a relative calm in wind speed and a decrease in the percentage of clouds, as the weather conditions are suitable for the formation of frost in several parts of the Kingdom, especially parts of the desert and the eastern plains regions.
The minimum temperatures, especially those close to the ground surface, in the aforementioned areas fall to approximately zero degrees Celsius (and are below zero degrees Celsius at the peaks of the Shara), while they are from 6 to 2 degrees Celsius in the rest of the areas.
As temperatures continue to drop during the night in the coming days, noticeable temperature differences between day and night are expected, ranging between 10-12 degrees Celsius, and more than that in desert areas, due to the significant radiation cooling in those areas. Accordingly, it is warned of the risks of temperature differences and significant cold weather during the night, which may increase the chances of catching a cold and seasonal diseases, especially among children.
Although forecasts indicate that temperatures will remain above their usual rates, tangible temperatures will decrease as a result of the expected activity in the speed of the southeasterly winds on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the weather is expected to be relatively cold to cold in various regions of the Kingdom, and amounts of medium and high clouds will gradually appear, with moderate to active southeasterly winds blowing, which will increase the feeling of cold significantly and will be accompanied by some strong gusts in the high southern mountainous heights and the Ghor regions.
And God knows best.
