<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - The death toll from floods and landslides in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has risen to 394, and efforts to search for missing persons are continuing, according to a local official in the Kalehe region in the east of the country.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Areas in South Kivu province (east) were subjected to floods last Thursday night, noting that the villages of Bochocho and Nyamukube are the most affected in the region. This came two days after heavy rains in neighboring Rwanda, which also affected border villages in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and flooded a number of them.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> "So far, more than 390 bodies have been found, 142 in Boshocho, 132 in Nyamukubio, and 120 bodies floating in Lake Kivu," Toma Bakinga, a local official in Kalehe district, the most affected by the floods, told AFP on Sunday.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> It is noteworthy that the heavy rains led to floods that flooded the banks of a river, destroyed buildings and buried victims under the rubble.</p>
