Arab Weather - The latest weather maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Kingdom is expected to be increasingly affected tonight (Monday/Tuesday night) by the extremely cold polar air mass, which will reach its peak and thus be at unusual and exceptional levels of coldness, as it is expected, God willing, that there will be a sharp and rapid drop in temperatures tonight and they will quickly become below zero degrees Celsius in several areas of the Kingdom at midnight, and temperatures will continue to drop as the night hours pass, with expectations that the minimum temperature in the capital, Amman, and several areas of the Kingdom will be around -4 degrees Celsius, and the tangible temperature will be below that more in a number of areas. And thus it will be at unusual and exceptional levels of coldness.
Temperatures also drop to lower values in the desert areas, eastern plains, desert areas, and the peaks of the southern highlands, and minimum temperatures drop to less than -6 Celsius in those areas, and it is not unlikely that they will be lower than that in some uninhabited and open areas.
Temperatures in the Jordan Valley are expected to drop by about 3 degrees Celsius, especially in the northern Jordan Valley, with the possibility of surface temperatures reaching below zero degrees Celsius. This increases fears of frost formation in some areas of the Jordan Valley, and Arab Weather advises farmers to take this issue seriously due to the damage that may be caused to agricultural crops as a result of low temperatures.
It is noteworthy that the expected minimum temperatures on Monday/Tuesday night could be the lowest in several years.
And God knows best.
