Jebel Jais covered itself with its white color on January 24, 2009, after heavy snow fell in an accumulative manner, amid temperatures below zero degrees Celsius, reaching -2 below zero, and its thickness reached between 10 and 20 cm.

According to the old people living in the high mountains, they indicated that the amount of snow is the first of its kind in this quantity.
