Arabia Weather - The European Copernicus Observatory announced on Wednesday that 2023 will be the “hottest” in recorded history. This announcement comes after last November was “exceptional,” as it became the sixth month in a row to record record temperatures.

Samantha Burgess, deputy head of the climate department at the observatory, confirmed that the year 2023 will witness six months and two record seasons in terms of temperatures. She explained that the month of November was particularly exceptional, as temperatures were recorded that exceeded historical averages by two degrees Celsius, which indicates that the year 2023 is the hottest year in recorded history, surpassing even the era before the industrial revolution.

According to the observatory, the average global temperature in 2023 will exceed pre-industrial levels by 1.46 degrees Celsius.

There have been many warnings about the possibility that the current year will be the hottest in recorded history, especially after the months of September and October broke records. With this announcement, it is confirmed for the first time that 2023 is indeed the hottest year in recorded history.

According to scientists, data derived from ice samples, tree rings, and others indicate that 2023 may be the hottest on Earth in more than 100,000 years.
