October 2023 is the hottest month on record

Arabia Weather - The European Copernicus Observatory announced today, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, that October 2023 was the hottest month on record, and the fifth monthly record level in a row since June 2023.

The observatory announced that an average of 15.38 degrees on the surface of the Earth; October 2023 exceeded the previous record levels recorded in October 2019, and also exceeded by 1.7 degrees the pre-industrial October average of 1850-1900.

Since January 2023, the average temperature has been the hottest on record for the first ten months of 2023.

As the assistant head of the climate change department at the Copernicus Observatory said, “We can say, with almost certainty, that the year 2023 will be the hottest in history, and that the feeling of the necessity of taking urgent, ambitious climate measures, with the approaching COP28 climate summit, is stronger than ever before.” ".

It is worth noting that these record levels of temperatures will be present within the discussions of the COP 28 Conference of the Parties, which will begin on November 30, 2023 in Dubai - UAE.
