Arab Weather - The latest weather map readings at the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that various regions in the Sultanate of Oman will be affected on Friday and Saturday by an air mass with lower temperatures coming from the north, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures and an increase in cloud amounts, which may lead to showers of rain, especially in the Al Hajar Mountains. Winds will also be active in many areas, causing dust and dirt.
As a result of the influence of the air mass, there is a noticeable drop in temperatures, especially in the northern regions of the Sultanate, where more moderate weather prevails in many states. Cloud cover is also increasing in the northern regions, which may include rain clouds accompanied by showers in some areas of the Al Hajar Mountains, and may extend to include some coastal areas overlooking the Arabian Sea.
During the night hours, minimum temperatures drop compared to previous nights, and relatively cold weather prevails in various regions during the late night and early morning. Minimum temperatures range between 17-14 degrees Celsius in many states, while they drop to about 10 degrees Celsius over the Al Hajar Mountains, which requires wearing warm clothes.
Weather maps of wind movement indicate that the same air mass is accompanied by active northwesterly winds, reaching speeds of about 50 km/h, which causes an increase in dust concentration and dust storms in many areas, especially desert and exposed areas, which limits horizontal visibility.
And God knows best.
