<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><strong>ArabiaWeather -</strong> This strange hotel was created from an old Volkswagen beetle in the middle of the Jordanian desert, and accommodates only two guests inside.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Mohammed Al-Malahem created the hotel in 2011, taking the car and decorating it with hand-embroidered sheets and pillows to create a private retreat for two, according to CNN.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Al-Malahem said he created the property as a way to show visitors how beautiful the area is.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> “This village is my home, I was born here, I grew up here, and I lived here,” he added. “I wanted to start a project that would improve its status and put it on the tourist map, because it really overlooks some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region.”</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Located in the desert village of Al Gaya, visitors will find the peaceful backwaters and the 12th-century Citadel of Montreal.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Under the castle are the car, which bears a sign indicating that it is the smallest hotel in the world, and a “lobby” in a nearby cave where al-Malahim serves local drinks and snacks to guests.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> There are also a few stalls offering antique jewellery, antiques, and copper coins that travelers can buy as souvenirs.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Al-Malahem told CNN that he and his family would prepare breakfast or lunch for the guests.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> When you peek inside the car, you will find a collection of notes and photos left by the guests, and al-Malahim plans to add several Volkswagen Beetles to accommodate more guests at one time.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Volkswagen Beetle hotel rates start at around $56 per night.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Hotel Eh'häusl in Amberg, Germany currently holds the Guinness World Record as the world's smallest hotel, with a total floor area of just 173 square feet (53 square metres).<br /></p>
