Weather of Arabia - Scenes that appear to be painted in gray after volcanic ash covered the bright colors of nature, after the sudden eruption of Mount Bulusan on Sunday in Sorsogon Province, eastern Philippines, which lasted 17 minutes, during which it sent columns of ash at a height of one kilometer in the sky.

The deposited ash covered at least seven villages in the coastal city of Juban near the foot of the volcanic Mount Bulusan, with residents being told to stay indoors, wearing medical masks, and warning drivers to drive carefully on ash- and mud-covered roads.

Villagers who live in valleys and along rivers and streams have been warned to watch out for volcanic mudflows amid the rainy season, and planes have been warned not to fly near the volcano in Sorsogon, which is about 600 kilometers southeast of Manila.
