Arab Weather - Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the United States, including Canada, is witnessing a very cold polar wave as a result of the rush of a polar air mass with record cooling. It is expected that in the coming days, the impact of the very cold and very dry polar wave will continue on North America amid historic temperatures, especially those felt by the human body, which touch 50 degrees Celsius below zero, especially in the northern regions.
The effects of the polar wave are expected to continue and extend to the southern states of North America, and then the polar air will reach the states overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. During the control of the polar winds, the coastal areas of the Gulf of Mexico will record negative temperatures of about 10 degrees below zero, which is very surprising. The coasts of the Gulf of Mexico are expected to witness historical snowfall and accumulation that has not occurred in 60 years, and some snowfall is expected to extend to northern Mexico.
For the rest of the month, it is expected that extremely cold and large air masses will continue to rush directly from the North Pole towards large areas of the North American continent, causing extremely cold winter weather, with temperatures remaining record-breaking, ranging between 40-45 degrees Celsius below zero, with widespread snowfall in several states, especially the northeastern states.
Experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center explained that weather systems in the northern hemisphere of the Earth caused an increase in the rush of very cold air from the North Pole towards North America. As a result of the polar winds crossing the waters of the northeastern oceans and the interaction between the cold air and the warm and humid weather systems in the ocean, deep air depressions are formed, developing into strong storms with low air pressure values.
The storms, especially in the western and eastern United States, are accompanied by large cold air fronts that lead to strong winds and very high waves, with heavy rain and heavy snowfall in many areas, including northern California, Oregon and Washington. Temperatures are expected to drop below zero in several areas, where the weather is very cold.
A very cold polar air mass is rushing towards the North Atlantic Ocean, including Greenland, and is moving towards northwestern Europe to settle over the Norwegian Sea. Due to the sharp temperature differences between the surface temperature of the water and the extreme coldness of the air mass, a strong storm is forming with very low atmospheric pressure values reaching (944 millibars) accompanied by cold air fronts starting on Thursday and during the weekend.
The storm is causing strong winds of more than 200 km/h, causing severe waves with waves reaching more than 13 meters in height, in addition to very heavy rainfall and heavy snowfall over many areas. These weather conditions affect countries, especially Iceland and the United Kingdom.
And God knows best.
