ArabiaWeather.com - Power was cut off on Tuesday evening in large areas of Jordan due to an imbalance in the electrical loads, according to the National Electric Power Company.
According to citizens' complaints, it appears that the electricity has been cut off in parts of the capital, Amman, and the governorates of Irbid and Zarqa, in addition to Ajloun, Ma'an, Jerash, Mafraq, and Karak.
The power outage caused the Jordanian TV signal to stop, and its satellite broadcasts stopped for several minutes.
The National Electric Power Company said that an emergency fault occurred at the Qatraneh power generation station, causing an imbalance of electrical loads at other stations.
