Arabia Weather - Her Highness Princess Rima Ali bin Nayef sponsored the graduation ceremony for students of the “Meteorology and its Modern Applications” diploma, which was presented by the Land of Arabia Weather Academy in cooperation with the Middle East University.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, her Vice President, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Lawzi, the Director of the Center for Consulting, Training and Languages, Professor Dr. Anis Al-Mansour, the CEO of the Ard Group, “which owns the trademark” ArabiaWeather, Muhammad Al-Shaker, the General Director of the ArabiaWeather Company and the Ard Fares Shaaban Academy, and a consultant. This diploma came within the framework of cooperation between Ard Academy and the Middle East University, with the aim of our continuous endeavor to enhance knowledge and interest in meteorological sciences and climate security, to improve forecasts and analyze weather phenomena with high accuracy, develop the level of professionalism in the field, and contribute to raising the level of air services provided to society and various sectors. In addition to providing students with practical skills that enable them to understand and analyze weather data, and make appropriate decisions based on future weather forecasts.
24 students from various Arab countries participated in the diploma. During the training period, which lasted for 9 months, they were able to learn a variety of skills and knowledge in the field of meteorology. The program included 300 training hours, enabling students to acquire superior ability to understand and analyze weather data, prepare weather forecasts, and prepare weather reports and weather forecasts. In addition, students learned about applications of meteorology in multiple fields such as aviation, land and sea transportation, and protection of life and property.
In this regard, Shaaban expressed his pride in the strategic partnership between the Academy and the University, which comes at a time when the labor market is waiting for qualified human capabilities, as the world is witnessing fundamental changes in the environmental and climate systems, which requires an effective response from us, and increased awareness of the importance of climate security as one of the aspects of security. International.
For his part, Dr. Al-Mansour said that the program seeks to qualify experts who can understand the complexities of weather and climate, at a time when climate security constitutes a vital and important aspect of modern human life, stressing that the university’s partnership with Ard Academy represents a path to a strategy that is aware of the transformations of the new world.
