The weather will be wintry, cloudy and rainy at times, with heavy rains sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, leading to pools of water and rising water levels in many areas, adding a new burden to the displaced in unqualified tents.

As the low pressure system moves from Cyprus to the southeast, very active southwesterly winds are expected, which will significantly increase the feeling of coldness. Wind gusts are expected to exceed 50 km/h at some times, which may have negative effects on the camps for the displaced, especially with the weak infrastructure of these camps and the lack of adequate means of protection.

Strong winds can also blow away tents and exacerbate the already difficult humanitarian conditions in overcrowded camps. It is advisable to take precautions, including securing tents and blankets, and avoiding being in open areas when winds are strong.

Several reports have been received from the Arab Weather Center indicating that the sector will be increasingly affected by a low pressure system on Tuesday, as quantities of rain clouds increase near the coasts and gradually enter most areas of the sector, resulting in heavy rains that may be accompanied by strong thunderstorms, leading to water pools and rising water levels. The low pressure system will diminish on Tuesday/Wednesday night, the amount of clouds will decrease, and the weather will tend to stabilize.
