Arab Weather - The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Turkey on Wednesday. The center said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 9 kilometers below the Earth's surface.
So far, there have been no reports of damage or casualties from the earthquake. However, the Turkish Anadolu Agency reported that the earthquake measured 5.9 on the Richter scale and that it struck the southern Turkish province of Malatya.
For its part, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority confirmed that the earthquake, which measured 5.9 on the Richter scale, struck the Malatya region, and was also felt by residents in Diyarbakir.
