ArabiaWeather.com - Scientists from the Russian Naval University managed to design a flying robot from non-freezing materials. To be used to study the conditions of polar sea roads in the Arctic, its speed reaches 40 km per hour.
Scientists confirmed that this robot will enable them to conduct a study of the ice layers encountered by ships "icebreakers" during their sailing, and they will use it to discover oil and gas fields in the polar shelf.
Scientists will provide the new robot, which is currently undergoing final tests, with a complex program through which it can probe ice layers using electromagnetic methods and study how water specifications change, and other functions.
