Saudi Arabia 7:40 am | Snow on Jabal al-Lawz and freezing rain in parts of Al-Jawf and the northern borders

Weather of Arabia - Sinan Khalaf - monitors the latest satellite images received at 7:40 a.m. today, Thursday. The northern parts of the Kingdom are affected by a state of air instability, coinciding with the infiltration of very cold polar winds towards the region, which reduces temperatures to low levels approaching Zero percent.

Meanwhile, some areas of the north are recording snow showers and icy and freezing rain, including the Jabal al-Lawz and Harrat Rahib highlands. Turaif also witnessed freezing rain, and the same is true in parts of Al-Jawf and the northern borders.

During the coming hours, it is expected that the northern parts of the Kingdom will continue to be affected by chances of snow showers and freezing rain from time to time, which may cause accumulations in some areas, and God knows best.
