From the Arabia Weather Center - The results of computer simulations of the movement of air masses indicate expectations that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be affected in the coming days by a cold wave that will cause a significant drop in temperatures in most regions except the western region, as a result of a cold upper trough approaching the region, which will lead to an extension of the influence of the high air pressure. Siberian over the kingdom.
It is expected, God willing, that the Kingdom will be increasingly affected on Wednesday by the cold air mass, so that temperatures will continue to drop in the northern borders, and this drop will also extend to the regions of Al-Jawf, eastern Tabuk, Hail, Al-Qassim, and Hafar Al-Batin.
The cold wave also deepens in the Kingdom on Thursday and Friday, reaching its peak, and thus the drop in temperatures affects the regions of Riyadh and the rest of the eastern region, all the way to Najran in the south, and thus temperatures are recorded lower than their usual levels by about 6-8 degrees Celsius. Cold weather prevails in these areas, and it even turns very cold at dawn, with the possibility of frost forming in many parts of the north and north-central part of the Kingdom, as the minimum at that time approaches zero degrees Celsius.
As for the western regions, especially the coastal parts, they are expected to be immune to the effects of the cold wave, and they are even expected to be affected by warm eastern winds that cause temperatures to rise on the coastal strip.
It is expected, God willing, that the northern to northeasterly winds will be active in various parts of the center and east of the Kingdom during the coming days, including the capital, Riyadh, and cause some dust and dust.
The eastern winds are also active on Thursday and Friday on the coastal strip, especially the coasts of Mecca, Medina, and southern Tabuk, and cause dust and dust to be stirred up with a decrease in horizontal visibility.
God knows.
