Thunderstorms sometimes occur, shavings fall, and downdraft activity occurs, and the influence of these clouds extends to the coastal plains, with the possibility of torrential rains, especially in the areas of the Jazan and Asir highlands.

Cumulus clouds intensify in the afternoon and evening hours of Friday over the highlands and coastal plains of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, all the way to Mecca, and are accompanied by heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms, with large flow of valleys and reefs, and a rise in water levels on the roads. It is not unlikely that rain clouds will spread, especially in the evening, to Mecca.
