Arabia Weather - The latest computer forecast maps indicate expectations that rain will intensify in the southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the end of this week, with increased chances of torrents forming in several governorates. There are also increasing indications that some coastal areas may be affected early next week by the first chances of rain within the seasonal season.
It is expected, God Almighty willing, that the chances of cumulus clouds will continue to increase during the afternoon and evening of Wednesday and Thursday on the highlands of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and east of Mecca, reaching limited parts of the highlands of Medina, accompanied by moderate to heavy rains. Thunderstorms sometimes occur, shavings fall, and downdraft activity occurs, and the influence of these clouds extends to the coastal plains, with the possibility of torrential rains, especially in the areas of the Jazan and Asir highlands.
Cumulus clouds intensify in the afternoon and evening hours of Friday over the highlands and coastal plains of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, all the way to Mecca, and are accompanied by heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms, with large flow of valleys and reefs, and a rise in water levels on the roads. It is not unlikely that rain clouds will spread, especially in the evening, to Mecca.
Specialists at the Regional Arab Weather Center are monitoring the possibility that the west of the Kingdom will be affected by a depression in the high layers of the atmosphere, coinciding with the flow of high amounts of moisture with tropical characteristics to the region, and this will lead to an intensification of the cumulonimbus clouds over the southwest and west of the Kingdom, accompanied by moderate to heavy rains. Its impact extends to some coastal areas for the first time this season.
God knows.
