The advisor to the Royal Court and the general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiah, confirmed in his statements to the media that the condition of the twins is good and stable, and that their vital indicators are stable. He explained that the operation took place in five stages, with the participation of 23 consultant doctors, specialists and nursing staff. and technician, in addition to 10 distinguished female physician colleagues.
It is noteworthy that the operation took place at King Abdullah Specialist Hospital for Children in King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Conjoined Filipino twins Akiza and Aisha, who are 6 months old and weigh a combined 18 kilograms, arrived in Saudi Arabia on May 5, 2024. They were transferred to King Abdullah Children's Specialist Hospital at the Ministry of National Guard, where it became clear that they were connected in the lower chest, abdomen and liver area, and there was a possibility of involvement in the intestines. They each had complete upper and lower limbs and multiple and precise examinations were performed to verify the possibility of separating them.
After several meetings of the medical team, a decision was made to separate the twins through surgery. This operation is the second for conjoined twins coming from the Philippines, and it is considered the 61st operation in a series of operations to separate conjoined twins in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Over the past 33 years, the medical team has evaluated 136 cases from 26 countries around the world.
