Saudi Arabia announces the cancellation of the `Umrah Host` visa

Weather of Arabia - The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced, yesterday, Tuesday, the cancellation of the "Umrah Host" visa, and said, in a statement, reported by the Saudi Press Agency "SPA" that if there are any developments, it will be announced through the official channels of the ministry.

The "Umrah Host Visa" is subject to setting standards and requirements governing it.

In the same context, the "Absher" platform for electronic services confirmed that it is not possible to issue a "host's Umrah visa" through the platform, calling for communication with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in this regard.

The "Umrah Host" project opens the way for citizens and residents to host pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia, according to regulations, and aims to enable citizens and residents to bring in and host 3-5 pilgrims. In this project, visas are issued on the civil registry for the citizen, and residence for the resident.

The conditions for the visas include that the host is an official employee in the government or private sector, the citizen must be at least 25 years old, have a commercial registry, be registered in the social insurance or wage system, and his income is not less than 5,000 riyals, and he is responsible for the hosts. From the time they arrive until the time they leave.

The resident has the right to bring first-degree relatives, provided that they have been in Saudi Arabia for a full year.

And the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has previously announced the identification of only two categories of non-Saudis, who are allowed to perform the rituals of Hajj this year, stressing that it is only possible to perform the Hajj rituals for those who hold a visa designated for that or reside with regular residence inside Saudi Arabia, which means that holders of a visit visa cannot be performed. Or business visa, apply for a permit to perform Hajj this year.
