Weather of Arabia - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the establishment of a regional program for cloud seeding, and this came on the sidelines of the opening of the "Green Middle East Initiative" summit, with wide international participation led by heads and leaders of countries and decision-makers in the world.
The technique of seeding works by scattering silver iodide in addition to potassium perchlorite with some compounds, which are released towards cumulus-carrying clouds that carry large amounts of water vapor through special aircraft designed for this purpose. These materials increase the density of the clouds and the quantities of water in them, which It later falls as rain.
