Arab Weather - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was affected during the past few days by a cold wave accompanied by a high pressure system of Siberian origin, which caused a sharp drop in temperatures. A very cold atmosphere prevailed in various regions, especially the northern ones, and temperatures were below average in the capital, Riyadh, and most regions of the Kingdom, while the cold wave began to gradually recede starting from today, Monday.
God willing, in the coming days, it is expected that there will be an additional decline in the effects of the cold wave, as temperatures will become close to their average for this time of year, and will be in the early twenties in the capital, Riyadh. The weather will remain cold in most of the northern regions and Hail, and pleasant in the central regions, including the capital, Riyadh, while it will tend to be hot on the western coasts of the Kingdom.
God willing, temperatures are expected to be in the early 30s Celsius in various areas of the western coasts of the Kingdom during the coming days, including the city of Jeddah, where the weather tends to be hot during the day and moderate during the night.
Despite the decline in the effects of the cold wave, the weather during the day remains very cold in the northern regions of the Kingdom, where temperatures drop to near zero degrees Celsius, especially near the Earth's surface. This is due to several weather factors, including the short solar radiation during the day, which leads to a weak amount of thermal energy acquired, and this is met by long night hours, which results in the Earth losing thermal energy, which is basically low.
As for the rest of the regions, the weather is generally cold, with the minimum temperature in the capital, Riyadh, ranging from 10-11 degrees Celsius, while it reaches about 24 degrees Celsius on the western coasts of the Kingdom, and the weather is moderate in those regions.
And God knows best.
