Portuguese architect Bruno Antunes, who loves photography, explained in an interview with CNN Arabic that he has always wanted to go on the adventure of exploring the “Ain Hit” cave since he came to Saudi Arabia in 2016, as the cave is a popular destination for foreigners in Saudi Arabia.

It was the many photos Antonis had seen of the cave that prompted him to finally visit the site in the midst of the pandemic. Antonis explains that it is not difficult to reach Ain Hit Cave, as its location can be easily determined via Google Maps. The cave entrance takes the form of a huge eye at the base of a limestone cliff, creating a surprising sight.

The cave descends about 100 meters into a large room filled with clear, emerald-colored water. The underground lake is distinguished by its stunning colors thanks to the light that passes into the room through the wide entrance to the cave. To reach the beauty of the cave, Antonis struggled by walking 100 meters down a steep rocky slope. In the right lighting conditions, it can be difficult to distinguish the cave from its reflection in the lake.

The importance of the Heet Cave site is that it is a prominent natural landmark, as Antonis pointed out that being inside the cave makes you feel small in front of the majesty of nature.
