Weather of Arabia - The western regions of Saudi Arabia, like the rest of the eastern basin region of the Mediterranean Sea, were affected by a state of atmospheric instability resulting from the rush of a cold air mass in all layers of the atmosphere accompanying an air depression over the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, in conjunction with a surface extension of the so-called Red Sea depression.
Due to the coldness of the various layers of the atmosphere, and the specificity of Jabal Al-Lawz in Tabuk Governorate in terms of geography, which this mountain enjoys, with a height of approximately 2580 meters above sea level, the precipitation was in the form of snow due to the high altitude above sea level.
