Saudi Arabia | Learn about the activities of the 5th edition of Riyadh Season

Arab Weather - Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, announced in a press conference on Wednesday the details of the fifth edition of the Riyadh Season, which will start on October 12, 2024. The season will be held on an area of more than 7.2 million square meters, and includes 11 world championships and 10 exhibitions and festivals.

Grand opening ceremony at the "Kingdom Arena"

According to a statement issued by the Saudi Entertainment Authority, the opening ceremony at the "Kingdom Arena" area will witness a major event in the form of the "IV CROWN SHOWDOWN" fight, which will determine the world light heavyweight boxing champion between Russians Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol, in addition to a singing segment presented by an international star whose name has not yet been revealed. The events before the start of the official season will also witness the African Super Cup final match between Egyptian clubs Al Ahly and Zamalek on September 27, 2024.

International sports confrontations

The upcoming Riyadh season will be filled with many exciting sporting events, including the anticipated rematch between boxing champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and WWE CROWN JEWEL & RAW wrestling shows will also be held. It will also host the Six King Slam tennis tournament, which will bring together the top 6 players in the world in the rankings.

Various artistic and entertainment activities

Technically, the 5th edition of the JOY AWARDS ceremony will honor the most prominent entertainment makers in the Arab world, with the attendance of a number of international stars early next year. The events will include theatrical performances by a group of the most famous Arab stars, such as Esaad Younis, Mohamed Henedy, Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Helmy, Akram Hosny, and others.

Special entertainment nights

Visitors to Riyadh Season will enjoy a variety of events including “Latin Night”, a stand-up comedy show with Bad Boys star Martin Lawrence, and a musical performance by Hans Zimmer, one of the world’s most famous soundtrack composers. The Dog Festival is also back for its second edition, featuring five tournaments with 350 dogs participating and a capacity of up to 5,000 people, with valuable prizes.
