Weather of Arabia - The CEO of the National Center of Meteorology, Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam, confirmed that the Center will conduct research during this year’s Hajj with the aim of modifying the weather in the Holy Sites, using weather modification techniques, after obtaining the necessary approvals.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Ghulam pointed out that the artificial rain enhancement program in Saudi Arabia had achieved great achievements, which prompted the World Meteorological Organization to invite Saudi Arabia to join the International Team for Weather Modification Technologies, which supervises rain enhancement programs.

He added that one of the successes of rain seeding is achieving four billion cubic meters of water, and the resulting spring and plant flowering, in addition to reducing dust storms, as Riyadh recorded “zero dust storms” for the first time, as well as the Qassim and Hail regions.
