Arab Weather - Sinan Khalaf - The weather forecast team at the "Arab Weather Regional Center" reported positive changes in the weather systems in the region, which are expected to be positively reflected in the intensity and comprehensiveness of seasonal rains in the western sector of the Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday, so that larger amounts of tropical moisture flow towards the region, causing the formation of cumulonimbus clouds on a large scale.

Heavy thunderstorms at times

In detail, the latest outputs of our computer simulation systems for rain forecasts at “Arab Weather” indicate that there will be an additional increase in the frequency and area of thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday, God willing, so that the thunderstorm clouds will extend from Jazan to Medina.

Although the weather will tend to be stable in the morning hours, cumulonimbus clouds will begin to form in the region's sky starting from noon, quickly developing into thunderstorms in the skies of Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha, accompanied by lightning, thunder and hail showers in some locations, which may cause valleys and torrents to flow. The rains will also include, but with less intensity, parts of Najran and the far south of the Riyadh region.

Tropical moisture deepens further north

Includes different parts of Taif, Makkah and Madinah.

Thunderstorm activity is also expected to include Taif, the eastern parts of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and perhaps the holy sites.
