Weather of Arabia - The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the start of implementation of the instructions regulating the Hajj, starting today, as it requires obtaining a “permit” from the competent authorities for residents wishing to enter the Holy Capital.

These instructions prohibit entry to the Holy Capital for residents who do not hold permits, and the implementation of instructions regulating Hajj, according to the Interior Ministry’s announcement through its account on the “X” platform.

At the same time, the Ministry excluded residents who hold entry permits to work in the Holy Sites or a resident ID issued by the Holy Capital, in addition to Umrah and Hajj permits, and noted that entry permits to the Holy Capital electronically are available to residents working during the Hajj season via the Absher platform - Muqeem Portal.

For its part, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia announced that the validity of the Umrah visa is up to 3 months from the date of issuance, with its expiration on Dhul-Qi’dah 15 of each Hijri year, based on coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate Hajj season procedures.

In a related context, the Ministry warned pilgrims wishing to perform Hajj rituals against falling victim to the fake Hajj campaigns for this year 1445/2024, which advertise their services through social media in a number of countries, stressing the necessity of obtaining a Hajj visa issued by the relevant authorities in the Kingdom and in coordination. With countries through Hajj affairs offices or the “Nasak Hajj” platform for countries that do not have official Hajj offices.
