Saudi Arabia: Thunderstorms resume in many parts of the Kingdom on Friday, with heavy rains in parts of Jazan and Asir

From the Arab Weather Center - The latest computer simulation results at the Arab Weather Center indicate expectations that rainfall will resume in many southwestern and western regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Friday, as a result of the continued flow of tropical moisture into the Kingdom's atmosphere, coinciding with the advancement of the imaginary tropical belt to the southern region of the Arabian Peninsula.

Areas covered by rain forecast in the Kingdom on Friday

The specialists at the Arab Weather Center said that it is expected that the activity of cumulonimbus clouds will renew in the afternoon and evening hours of Friday in several parts of the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Madinah Al-Munawwarah, accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail in some areas.

It is also expected that the activity will intensify in the Jazan and Asir regions after it had declined during the past two days, such that strong thunderclouds are likely to form in some areas, accompanied by heavy rains that will lead to heavy flow of valleys and ravines.

The rain continues until the end of the month!

The specialists at the Arab Weather Center indicated that it is expected that the activity of thunderstorms will continue in the southwest and west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia daily until the end of August, God willing, with their concentration in the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah Al-Mukarramah, with valleys and ravines flowing on many days and recording good amounts of rain.
