Scientists create a new compound to protect against solar radiation

ArabiaWeather.com - Russian scientists have come up with a new way to protect the skin from the sun's rays, based on the use of nanometer particles that do not pose any danger to human skin, and act as anti-allergic in the manufacture of cosmetics for protection against solar radiation.

Tomsk University scientists collaborated with scientists from the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry in Moscow and the Institute of Microbiology and Virology in Kiev to come up with this innovation. Scientists believe that known nanocomposites should be used in the manufacture of sun protection products, especially cerium dioxide solution, which has the advantage that it does not affect the skin at all.

It is noteworthy that titanium and zinc dioxide compounds are currently used in the manufacture of cosmetics for protection against solar radiation, which are characterized by being harmful to the body, as they form free radicals, capable of destroying compounds used in the manufacture of cosmetics, and skin cells.
