Seasonal forecast for the Maghreb

General situation

• Temperature fluctuations, with warmth dominating mostly the northern parts of Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and the Kingdom of Morocco in October and November
• Cold to very cold weather in late November and during December in the Kingdom of Morocco, northern Algeria and Tunisia
• Monitoring the steadily improving rain chances during the autumn season and Mediterranean weather storms
• Warning of heavy rain and torrential rain on Tunisia, northern Algeria and the Kingdom of Morocco in December
• Snow is likely with a high chance in late November and through December over the mountains

Seasonal forecast for the Levant

General situation

• A relatively dry autumn in general, with some chances of rain sometimes.
• Atmosphere tends to heat in some periods, while remaining around a little higher than its normal rates.
• Big variation in temperatures in some periods.
• An opportunity for some random showers, especially in northwest Syria, Lebanon, northern Palestine and the Badia regions.
• Weak rainy weather until at least December.

Seasonal forecast for the Arabian Peninsula

General situation

• Rain is less than its usual rates during the marking season in most regions of Saudi Arabia, with rainy cases at intervals that are concentrated in the west.
• Monitoring the possibility of several tropical states forming in the northern Indian Ocean (Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal) during the second period of activity with its focus on the Bay of Bengal.
• Warning of fog on the coasts of the Arabian Gulf in October and stronger in November.
• Rainfall is less than normal in most areas of the Arabian Peninsula during the month of October.
• The beginning of cold waves and a noticeable decrease in the maximum and minimum temperatures alike in parts of Iraq and Saudi Arabia during the second half of October.
• Temperatures above their usual rates in the north and east of the Arabian Peninsula during the months of November and December.
• The chances of arrival and deepening of the cold upper basins of the Arabian Peninsula improved during December.
• Warning of dust formation in some periods as less cold air masses approach from the northwest of the Kingdom and as a result of the huge thermal differences.
