Arab Weather - Arab countries are currently experiencing severe weather fluctuations, with the Maghreb being affected by cold, humid air masses bringing cold weather and rain to various regions. Meanwhile, forecasts indicate a high pressure system and a warm air mass are heading towards the eastern Mediterranean and the Levant.
Forecasts indicate that a cold and humid air mass will rush towards the Maghreb countries starting today, Wednesday, and through the weekend, and will continue for several days. This will be accompanied by active wind speeds and a drop in temperatures, in addition to showers of rain accompanied by thunder and hail in some areas.
In stark contrast, a warm air mass is expected to push towards the countries of the eastern Mediterranean basin and the Levant in the coming days, as a natural and balanced reaction of the atmosphere to the weather activity expected in the Maghreb and Western Europe. The cold air masses pushing there will force the high pressure system to deepen eastward.
Consequently, the weather will be stable in most countries of the Levant and the eastern Mediterranean basin during the weekend and the beginning of next week, with successive rises in temperature expected, making the weather spring-like and mild and close to warm in various regions.
The latest numerical model outputs from Arab Weather indicate that the Kingdom will continue to be affected by unstable weather conditions in the coming days, resulting from the presence of a relatively weak low pressure system in the upper atmosphere, coinciding with the flow of moisture from the south. Therefore, conditions are ripe, God willing, for the formation of cumulus clouds, and the opportunity remains available for rain to fall at intervals and in different regions of the Kingdom, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms at times.
