Arab Weather - Eng. NASSER HADDAD - The south-western region of Saudi Arabia is affected by a state of atmospheric instability from Sunday to the end of the week, with the rainy condition starting from the north reaching the middle and weekend of the southern Red Sea.
The rainy weather starts on Sunday and Monday and includes the city of Jeddah and parts of Mecca and Taif, and showers of thunderstorms of varying intensity with the formation of torrents and does not rule out the showers of cold, especially over the mountains.
The rainy range of the weather gradually moves south towards the middle and the end of the week by the will of God, to enter new areas within the rainy circle, namely parts of Al-Baha, Asir and Jazan.
The rains include various areas from the highlands and western slopes to the coasts, and the rains of varying intensity interspersed with heavy thunderstorms, and include some important cities such as Abha, Mahayil Asir and some of the coasts of Jazan, God willing.
By the end of the week, the chances of flooding on Jizan, its coasts and Fursan Island rise, with thunderstorms associated with wind and hail activity over the mountains.
These unstable weather conditions follow the extension of a cold upper basin from the north and north-east, and the damp currents from the south and the west, towards these areas, while the cold mass accompanying the extension of the cold Siberian highway towards the south of Riyadh and Najran,
To meet the momentum of the rainy conditions of the extreme south of the Kingdom, where the convergence of cold air east of the south and west, and between the warm and humid air from the south and west, to intensify the rainy situation, including heavy rain and the intensity of thunderstorm clouds even on the coasts of the Red Sea.
