The latest weather forecasts issued on Tuesday evening, 2/18/2025, indicate that the Kingdom will gradually begin to be affected, starting from the hours after midnight on Wednesday/Thursday, by a low-pressure system classified as second-degree according to the Arab Weather scale for the intensity of low-pressure systems, resulting from the rush of a cold air mass coming from southeast Europe directly towards the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, which will lead to the formation of a low-pressure system centered over Syrian territory.
On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to drop slightly, but remain about two degrees Celsius above their average for this time of year. The weather will be relatively cold in the mountains and pleasant in the rest of the regions, with large amounts of clouds appearing at medium and high altitudes.
Gradually, during the night, the Kingdom will begin to be affected by a second-degree low pressure system centered on the surface to the west of Syria. The weather will be generally cold, with clouds appearing at different altitudes, and the opportunity will be available during the late night hours for scattered rain to fall in some areas.
On Thursday, temperatures will drop significantly, becoming about two degrees Celsius below average. The weather will be cold and cloudy, with showers of rain, God willing, in different regions of the Kingdom, accompanied by hail showers at times. Fog is also likely to form in the high mountains as a result of the passage of clouds touching the Earth’s surface.
Active westerly winds are also expected, with occasional strong gusts, causing dust and dirt to be stirred up on desert roads and eastern plains.
