Arab Weather - The outputs of the analyzes within the "Arab Weather" Regional Center for Meteorology and Weather Forecasting indicate expectations of a gradual expansion of the activity of local formations on the Hajar Mountains during the coming days, accompanied by rains of varying intensity that lead to the flow of valleys and reefs in some areas.

According to the computer modeling outputs, it is expected that the activity will start from Sunday, so that cumulus clouds will multiply in the afternoon over parts of the heights of the Al Hajar Mountains located in the governorates of North Al Sharqiyah, South Muscat, South Al Batinah and Al Dakhiliyah. In the downward winds, it leads to the flow of valleys and reefs in some neighborhoods.

It is expected that the activity of local formations will expand further on the Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas on Monday and Tuesday, where the atmosphere fluctuates between partly cloudy and cloudy, and cumulus clouds form along the Hajar Mountains during the afternoon and evening, and the rains are of varying intensity and are accompanied by the occurrence of thunderstorms sometimes. And hailstones fall, and the chances of wadis and reefs flowing are renewed in some areas, God willing.

Recommendations:

• It is advised to pay attention to the risks of sudden floods in parts of the Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas when thunderstorms rain, especially in areas of slopes, where it is advised to stay away from valleys, reefs and torrents.
• Attention to the intensity of thunderstorms and the accompanying downward winds that lead to the formation of dust storms in local areas.
• Attention to the high proportion of dust in desert areas as a result of the activity of the western winds sometimes.
