Weather of Arabia - Today, the Omani Meteorology issued its first report on the expected heavy rains today, as heavy thunderstorms are expected during the noon and evening periods in the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Al Hajar Mountains and adjacent areas, and parts of Al Wusta Governorate, which may range from 20 to 45 mm.

Accordingly ; The Civil Aviation Authority calls on everyone to take precautions and caution during thunderstorms, not to cross valleys, avoid low places, and not go to the sea during the warning period.

Important alerts to deal with expected weather conditions:

• Heavy rains, ranging from 20-45 mm, lead to runoff of valleys and reefs.
• Active downward winds, with speeds ranging between 15-35 knots (28-64 km/h).
• Decreased horizontal visibility due to rising dust during thunderstorms.
