<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - The Syrian Ministry of Health announced a short while ago that the number of victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the region at dawn today has risen to 237 deaths and 639 injuries, most of them in Lattakia, Aleppo, Hama and Tartous.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> An earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale struck the district of Pazardik in the state of Kahramanmaraş in southern Turkey, at a depth of 7 kilometers at dawn today, while the American Institute of Seismology reported that the strength of the main tremor reached 7.8 degrees, and its effects extended to Syria, causing widespread destruction.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> For its part, the Turkish authorities announced that the number of victims had risen to 77 dead and 447 injured as a result of the earthquake, and rescue operations are still underway and the dead and injured are being recovered from under the rubble.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p>
