He pointed out that the ancient Arabs used to call the spring season “Kharif,” and therefore it was named. The month is like this.
He also explained that the names of the Arab months were in harmony with their nature and the seasons of the year, as the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal symbolized the summer spring, while the month of Ramadan symbolized the rain of the earth due to its high temperature during this time.
He explained that the month of Rabi’ al-Akhir coincides with the winter season, and during this month, temperatures continue to fall gradually, and after approximately 50 days, the winter season begins to set in.

He concluded his statement by noting that the northern regions, such as Turaif, Arar, Tabuk, and Al-Jawf, in addition to Hail and the southern regions, such as Al-Baha, Asir, and Abha , witness the tradition of lighting fires at the end of the night as part of the community’s traditions.
Finally, he pointed out that the rains during the next 78 days are considered the best of the year, as they contribute to the growth of various types of wild plants and grasses.
