The climate divides Australia between thunderstorms and a severe heat wave

Arabia Weather - Violent thunderstorms struck some areas in eastern Australia on Saturday, resulting in heavy rain, hailstones, and strong winds. Two people were taken to hospital after being struck by lightning, one of whom was injured inside a car and the other while on an excavator.

On the other hand, northern and western Australia are experiencing the effects of an intense heat wave. Temperatures in the remote town of Marble Bar in northwest Western Australia are expected to reach 49 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
