In addition to setting the minimum and maximum value of the holiday , the government is keen to allow some time for citizens so that they can celebrate Eid, especially since it has great importance for all Muslims in the world, as family, loved ones, and friends gather with hearts filled with love.

Eid al-Fitr holiday 2024 for the government sector in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi government has set the date for Eid al-Fitr vacation for employees of the public and private sectors, as it confirmed that government agencies that implement the civil service system will grant their employees Eid al-Fitr vacation starting on Ramadan 25, 1445 AH and ending on Shawwal 5, 1445.

Accordingly, the last working day for employees in the public sector is the 24th of Ramadan, corresponding to Wednesday, while work will resume starting Monday, corresponding to Shawwal 6, 1445 AH.

Eid al-Fitr holiday 2024 for students in Saudi Arabia

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, students are wondering about the date of the Eid al-Fitr vacation in 2024. It is worth noting that the Council of Ministers has confirmed that the date of the vacation for students and teachers will coincide with March 28, 2024 AD, which coincides with Ramadan 18, 1445 Hijri, while studies will resume after the vacation on April 15, 2024, corresponding to Shawwal 6, 1445 AH.

The date of Eid al-Fitr 2024 in Saudi Arabia

The date of Eid al-Fitr 1445 is set according to Al Hilal’s survey, and since the month of Ramadan has not yet begun, the date of Eid al-Fitr has not been determined accurately, but based on astronomical calculations, its first day falls on April 10, 2024, corresponding to Shawwal 1, 1445 AH.
