Dr. Jamal Shaaban, a professor of cardiology, revealed that the information indicates that the late pilot died as a result of a sudden heart attack while driving the plane. He explained that the pilot had a recent medical fitness certificate that he obtained three months before the accident. He added that the symptoms that the pilot felt, such as fatigue. Severe and sudden, consistent with the symptoms of a heart attack.

The Egyptian Pilots Association mourned the late pilot, noting that he suffered a sudden health crisis during a flight from Cairo Airport to Taif Airport, which required the second pilot to make an emergency landing at Jeddah Airport safely.
