Tonight in Muzdalifah

The pilgrims spent the night in Muzdalifah after their departure from Arafat, where they performed the greatest pillar of Hajj in a scene of faith full of reverence and tranquility.

Day of Sacrifice rituals

On the Day of Sacrifice, pilgrims begin by throwing stones at Jamrat al-Aqaba, then they shave or cut their hair, followed by slaughtering the sacrificial animal, and then they head to the Sacred House to perform Tawaf al-Ifadah. After that, they return to Mina to spend the rest of the days of Tashreeq.

Hairy Mona

Mina's hair is located between Mecca and Muzdalifah, 7 kilometers northeast of the Grand Mosque, within the boundaries of the Holy Mosque. This valley is surrounded by mountains from the north and south, and is inhabited only during the Hajj period. It is bordered on the side of Mecca by Jamrat al-Aqaba, and on the side of Muzdalifah is Wadi Muhasir.

Days of Tashreeq

Pilgrims spend the three days of Tashreeq (11, 12, and 13 Dhu al-Hijjah) in Mina, during which they stone the three Jamarat: the minor Jamarat, then the middle Jamarat, and finally the major Jamarat of Aqaba.

Rushing into rituals

Those in a hurry can shorten the rituals to two days, provided they leave Mina before sunset on the second day of Eid al-Adha, and then head to Mecca to perform the Farewell Tawaf, which is the last ritual of Hajj.
