The Bukit Tinggi resort of the famous Malaysian company, Berjaya, is located at an altitude of 2,500 feet at sea level, in the state of Pahang, 40 minutes from the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

The resort was established to combine several cultures in one place. It includes the Al Qasr Resort & Spa, which combines European engineering design with Asian hospitality. It also includes the Colmar Tropical Resort, which brings French culture to the tropical atmosphere. In addition to the French village, the highlands gather the Japanese village, rabbit gardens, deer, horses, and a number of golf courses.

The French Village is considered the largest feature of the resort, so its name became famous at the expense of other landmarks. It is a copy of the village of "Colmar" in the French Alsace region. The resort in Malaysia includes 6 French restaurants and more than 200 rooms and suites.

The resort can be reached by private taxi, car rental, or private bus that departs daily from the Times Square Hotel and Mall complex.
