Weather maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions starting from Wednesday, resulting from the convergence of the Red Sea depression in the layers of the atmosphere close to the Earth's surface with the deepening of a cold air mass in the upper layers of the atmosphere; where temperatures will drop, and the opportunity will be prepared for showers of rain, God willing, in random parts of the Kingdom, but they will be concentrated in the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom, with indications of the expansion of the scope of the impact of the atmospheric instability on Friday to include many regions, God willing.
God willing, temperatures are expected to drop on Wednesday to approach their usual rates, and the weather will be relatively cold and changeable between partly cloudy and cloudy. The opportunity will be available starting from the morning hours for thunderstorms to fall in the eastern region, and later extending randomly as the daylight hours pass to parts of different regions. Some of these showers will be heavy at times and accompanied by hail at times, which will lead to the flow of valleys and ravines and possibly the formation of flash floods.
The winds will be moderate to active northeasterly, causing dust storms in several areas. They will also become active during the passage of thunderclouds, leading to local dust storms.
The Kingdom will continue to be affected on Thursday by the state of atmospheric instability, as the weather will remain relatively cold and changeable between partly cloudy and cloudy, with showers of rain, God willing, in random parts of the Kingdom, with a concentration in the southern regions, accompanied by thunder and hail at times, which will sometimes be dense, and some of these showers will be heavy in the south and southeast of the Kingdom, leading to the flow of valleys and ravines and perhaps the formation of sudden torrents in those areas. However, cases of atmospheric instability are sometimes characterized by heavy rain in areas that are not expected to do so.
The winds will be easterly to northeasterly, moderate to active in speed, causing dust and sandstorms in several areas. They will also become active during the passage of thunderclouds, leading to local dust storms.
On Friday, according to current indicators, the impact of the atmospheric instability is expected to expand as a result of the increase in the flow of cold air in the different layers of the atmosphere, coinciding with the presence of a Red Sea depression close to the Kingdom, so that temperatures will drop again and become colder than their usual rates for this time of year, and the weather will be cold and cloudy with showers of rain in several parts of the Kingdom, and some of these showers can sometimes be heavy and accompanied by thunder at that time.
