Arab Weather - The "Beaver Moon", the last giant moon of the year, appeared amazingly on Friday night in different parts of the United Kingdom, attracting the attention of sky lovers, despite the presence of clouds that covered the view in some areas.
Although it wasn't as bright as last month's super "Hunter's Moon," the Beaver Moon provided an impressive sight. With the next supermoon not due until October 2025, this event was a rare opportunity to enjoy this unique spectacle.
The full moon in November is called the “Beaver Moon,” inspired by nature and the behavior of creatures during this month. The name is thought to be due to the activity of beavers at this time of year as they prepare for winter, or to the Native American custom of setting beaver traps before the swamps freeze to ensure a supply of warm fur.
The year 2024 will see four supermoons, starting with the Blue Moon in August, followed by the Harvest Moon in September, the Hunter's Moon in October, and finally the Beaver Moon.
According to astronomers, Friday's Beaver Moon was 14% larger and 30% brighter than a typical full moon, making it an unforgettable event.
Stunning images of the Beaver Moon were shared by weather observers and various agencies, adding to the beauty and significance of the event for astronomical enthusiasts.
